Exercise is supposed to make you feel better and give you more energy! If you feel as if recovering from physical activity is difficult and you’re losing motivation, you may be suffering from loss of exercise tolerance. Symptoms of poor exercise recovery include:

  • Napping after exercise
  • Irritability over “little” things
  • Loss of menstrual cycle
  • Weakened immune system
  • Loss of enthusiasm

If you’re experiencing any of these symptoms, contact our office! We aim to find the root cause of issues like this so you can understand the road to healing and feel your best. When it comes to exercising, there are several factors that can cause poor recovery:

  • Not eating enough protein
  • Overtraining
  • You’re not doing the workout your body wants (try something new!)
  • Low adrenal function
  • Malnourished
  • Inflammation
  • Autoimmunity
  • Not enough sleep

It is best not to ignore if you notice a change in your energy level or ability to recover from exercise. Ask our office to help you find the underlying causes of why you may be experiencing poor recovery after exercising.
